Sean is a Digital Projects Librarian at the University of Alberta Library. In his role as Service Manager of ERA A+V, a media streaming repository, he manages media-related projects and works to expand the University of Alberta’s media preservation program. Sean holds a B.Mus and MA in Music from McMaster University, and an MLIS from the University of Western Ontario. His current research program focuses broadly on how sound and listening are used by humanities researchers to create knowledge and investigates ways that virtual research environments and digital libraries support, supplement, transform, or interrupt audio-based research. I'm especially interested in discussing audiovisual collections/archives from a maintenance perspective.
